14 Things You Need for a New Doggie

To celebrate Wren's gotcha day and in welcoming new puppy pals, we decided to share our new doggie shopping guide! Whether it's a new dog to your fam or a brand new pup, we gotchu on all the goods you'll need.

1. a cute & functional Leash, Harness, & Collar

Tip! A short leash is better for control & training

2. Poopie bags, dispenser, & training pads!

Don't get stuck somewhere without one! Or without something for those puppy accidents!

Our favorite...the grass patch! It's perfect for potty training.

3. Food & Water Bowls

Don't forget the travel bowls!

4. Food & Treats

We tried a few before we found the best one! Wren LOVES blue wilderness. Even our cat likes it....he would steal Wren's so we had to switch Otto over to a blue wilderness kitty food!

Tip! Get the greenies to avoid bad breath & for dental health!

4. Dog crate & pen

Highly recommend this crate & pen! It grows with your puppy. It's best to crate train them with the right amount of space in their 'den'. It will be their new home sweet home.

Tip! Best thing about this crate is it attaches to your pen!

5. Doggie Cam

It's so nerve racking leaving a new dog home alone for the first time. To check in while you are gone, remote into you camera via a super easy app! FunLux will also notify you of movement or noise!

6. Bell Training

We are obsessed with our dog bells & so is Wren! She lets us know whenever she needs a potty break!

7. Toys

- I love grabbing some at Marshalls or Homegoods #gofinding. Don't go overboard with the toys (it leads to over stimulation, give 1 at a time to your pup!) - get a kong ball, tug toy, puzzle toy, and a stuff animal for all the cuddles.

8. Robot Vacuum!

This will be an ilife saver and game changer! Schedule this bad boy to clean your house while you are out. More time to play with your pup! PS - this one also mops!

9. Rover

Rover saved us in a clutch when we needed a trust worthy person to take Wren on a walk mid-day! Not only did it help us out, Wren loved it!

10. Youtube Training Tips!

Our favorite trainer is Zak George.

11. Booties

Whether it's to keep the salt from your pups feet in the winter or for hot pavement in the summer - this is a necessity!

12. Shots & Meds

Make sure you have all your shots and meds before taking your little one out on an adventure! You'll need flea and tick, heartworm, & all the puppy shots!

13. Grooming!

Your new pup will need a brush, 2-1 shampoo & conditioner, & detangler (especially if you have a doodle)!
